Guidelines for Contributors

Submit your blog post to connect@district64.ca.  Content will be posted within 7 days of receipt. 

Regular/Primary blog posts (substantially written by the author)

  • Length should be no more than 250 words and in Word or similar format
  • Be precise, less text is better than more text
  • If you are advertising an event, let us know the who, what, where, when and why people should attend.  Don’t forget the cost!
  • Send your content early (at least 7 days before the event) for maximum impact and exposure
  • Proofread your content carefully before submitting – content will be posted exactly as it is received.
  • Craft a catchy title that is related to the topic
  • Photos or graphics help liven your post; please use gig/tif/jpeg format
  • Please remember that all posts are subject to editing by the administrators

Secondary blog posts (comments/review of a 3rd party blog post, news article, video, etc)

  • Length should be around 50-100 words and in Word or similar format
  • Include a link to the 3rd party content
  • The key to a good secondary blog post: Explain in your own words why the 3rd party content is important
  • Craft a catchy title that is related to the topic
  • Please remember that all posts are subject to editing by the administrators
